Prepress is what is known in the printing industry to describe the process of which a document must go through before it can be sent to print.

We follow a procedure for every approved job which includes the following which we check for;

• Correct document size/pagination/backing up
• Proof reading
• Bleed
• Fonts
• Images/graphics quality
• Colour separations

When all file checks are then completed we produce a postscript file to the correct output specifications and then we put this postscript file through Adobe® Distiller® to create reliable, compact final files.

Once the prepress is complete and press files have been produced, we will then produce plates outputted via our Heidelberg Prinect Signa Station workflow to our plate maker. This gives us seamless integration in the Prinect workflow.
